TAXIS:

Taxis from Palma airport should all operate on a fixed price basis, typically charging around 65 euro to 70 euro for the journey to Cala d'or, however experience has shown that this "fixed price" may vary slightly depending upon the number of suitcases, the time of day or night of the journey, and of course the number of passengers carried.

Also an important consideration for families with small children, is that these taxis do not as a rule carry child seats, therefore children may have to sit on their parent's knee for the journey. If this is a cause for concern, we strongly recommend that you make arrangements for a pre-booked taxi to be waiting for you, and clearly specify at the time of booking that a child seat is needed for the journey.
A taxi company that we use and recommend is .....

LAND TRAIN:

Cala D’or has two land trains (buses that look and sound like trains).  If it is your first visit then it would be a good idea to have a round trip on the train to give you a good idea of the lay out and where things are.
The trains are operated by Cala D’or Express and have two routes.  The yellow route takes you from Cala D’or to Cala Ferrera and the blue route goes between Cal D’or and Cala Egos (via Es Forte).

The price is 3.50 euros return for adults and 2.50 for children and 2euroc for single trips.  Be careful as this can quickly add up!
