The Davies family have owned the apartment at Las Velas for over 25 years, initially used as a getaway in the sun from the manic day to day running of a very busy holiday park and now for family holidays.

The apartment is located in Cala D'or, in the tranquil South East corner of the beautiful island of Majorca in the Western Mediterranean Sea, just over two hours flight from the UK. 

Las Velas is ideally located above the stunning harbour of Cala D'Or, enjoy a beer in the evening whilst watching the yachts and mega boats returning home, or wonder into town to the amazing array of restaurants and bars.

The apartment sleeps four very comfortably, with one double ensuite room and a second bedroom which has two single beds. It has many of the modern amenities you would expect.  There are only 24 apartments in the complex, most are privately owned and not available for rental. The pool area therefore is never overcrowded and sun beds are plentiful. The marina is reached via steps approx 100 yards from the apartment where you can find numerous restaurants, bars and shops, including a small but useful supermarket.  Las Velas is perfectly situated with the Marina to hand, Cala D'Or centre convenient and beaches within easy reach, yet with all this on its doorstep the development still maintains an air of peace and exclusivity.

The apartment:

Bedroom 1 has double bed with a large built-in wardrobe, drawers, dressing table, full length mirrors, bedside tables, ceiling fan and air conditioning.  En-suite bathroom with bath, shower enclosure, toilet and basin.

Bedroom 2 has two single beds, a large built in wardrobe, drawers, bedside tables and a ceiling fan.  There is also a separate bathroom which has a bath, shower enclosure, toilet and basin.

The kitchen contains a cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster.  Plenty of storage and all the utensil and crockery you will need.

The dining area adjoins the living room and kitchen, has a large table with 4 chairs and space for a zed bed to be utilised if required (stored in the airing cupboard)

The lounge also air conditioned with two leather settees, a flat screen TV with free view, DVD player and MP3 player / radio.  You will also find the wi-fi box and dehumifider in this area. The lounge has double doors leading out to the terrace.

The terrace is large and looks directly out over the communal swimming pool and also the fantastic marina!  There is a large table with 6 chairs and two private sun beds.  Inside the airing cupboard you will find a hammock which can be used on the terrace (you will find two black fixtures attached to the wall). The terrace gets the sun all day long but there is also a large area that is covered by the upstairs apartment so you will easily find shade. The terrace leads directly down to the pool.

The pool area is lovely, with its palmed communal garden and plenty of space for sun beds.  If the communal sun beds are all in use please feel free to take the apartments sun beds down to the pool side but remember to bring them back up! The pool and gardens is maintained on a daily basis.

There is also an iron / ironing board, towels,  linen, games and pool inflatables in the apartment.

Please, there is no smoking in the apartment or on our terrace.
